Kucharski said it also helpede that the region offereda half-dozen sites and not just a singular location. It also helped that a friendship quicklgy developed betweenthe Yahoo! site selectiohn team and the local economic development community. “Wde developed a nice relationship with them and that helpesd makethis happen,” Kucharski said. “They were impressed that everyt timethey called, we could assemble our team on a very shor t notice and give them the answerw they wanted.” Construction on the data centere will begin in August, said David Yahoo! senior vice president. The centedr will be open by May.
Kucharski said there is a myriad positives that will comefrom Yahoo!’d decision.
